Conor McGregor set his stall out on Twitter last night as he announced his wish to face Floyd Mayweather’s victim Tenshin Nasukawa in an MMA bout. The Japanese kick-boxer Nasukawa recently fought in a boxing exhibition against Mayweather on New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately, the fight in which both fighters were undefeated in their respective fields going in, was in the end extremely one sided, with the American requiring only 139 seconds to defeat his inexperienced opponent. Nasukawa has never fought in an MMA bout before, but McGregor’s wish was likely to be inspired by the New Year’s Eve fight in which Mayweather made a reported $13million. This may suggest McGregor’s interest is money motivated more than anything else. “I wish to go to Tokyo to face Tenshin Nasukawa in a Mixed Martial Arts exhibition bout,” the Irishman tweeted. “Before this summer. Please arrange this, this instant. "Yours sincerely The champ champ." The Irish fighter himself fought Mayweather in a boxing fight in 2017 in what was a widely anticipated and financially rewarding fight for both competitors.
