CAF Super Cup

It is the third established tournament in the history of the Confederation of African Football

- This tournament started for the first time in 1993 and was held between the African Champions Cup and the African Cup of cups winners

 

•The first edition of the tournament was held in the land of the African Cup Winners Cup , specifically in Felix Hofbutt Stadium in Ivory Coast

Africa Sports Club managed to achieve the first CAF Super title against Wydad Atheletic Casablanca

- In 1996, with the sufficient change of the system and the so-called Africa Cup of champions to CAF Champions League,

It became CAF Super Cup playing between Champions CAF champion league and the African Cup Winners'

- In the year 2005, after the CAF modified the Africa Cup Winners' and the CAF Cup,to cancel and the creation of CAF Confederation Cup , the Super Cup became a play between CAF Champions League champion and CAF Confederation Cup champion, in order to challenge the super champion of the African continent every year.

-The most clubs competing in the Super Cup matches are Al-Ahly of cairo with 8 titles.

-The most club achieving the title are Al-Ahly with 6 titles , and he held the championship cup twice

-The most club achieving the title of runner-up in the championship is Sfaxien 3 times

- The last club to be crowned the title is zamalek of egypte 2020 Raja Casablanca 2019
